Rootedness & Belonging: a practice perspective on accompanying subjects and citizens in transitional contexts

The World Citizen Community of Practice (CoP) is hosting their first face-to-face event in June at the UNSW Teaching Commons.

Join Director of the UNSW Institute of Global Development, A/Prof. George Varughese, who will discuss 'Rootedness & Belonging: a practice perspective on accompanying subjects and citizens in transitional contexts.’

This unique session is open to all UNSW staff and will be an opportunity for the community to enjoy a relaxed conversation with George, who will share thoughts and insights on the concept of 'belonging'. The conversation will be grounded in his life-long work and considerable expertise in international development and humanitarian assistance in conflict-affected and transitional places/contexts.

The session will also touch on George's experience today as Director, leading the UNSW Institute for Global Development (IGD), an ambitious initiative by the University to tackle significant global challenges and a part of its commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
