Expressions of interest to present at Education Festival 2024 are now closed, thank you for your submissions!

Event hosts will share their decisions on submitted proposals to present at this year's Festival by early October. Registration to attend this year's Festival will open in late October.

UNSW’s Education Festival returns for its fourth year, from Monday 18 - Wednesday 27 November, to bring together the University’s vibrant community of learning and teaching practitioners. Attendees from across disciplines will have the opportunity to learn from each other, and to improve and grow as educators.

Wednesday 20 November (PM)

Hosted by AI Education Focussed Community of Practice

This session will look to move beyond the AI hype and see AI as a tool to be incorporated in teaching and learning. We will explore with students what is keeping them up at night. Our guest speaker will provoke us to consider why the hype needs to dissipate in favour of an AI-enhanced and enabled world. We will also hear from a select group of short presentations about how AI is being used to 'cut through the noise'.

Are you passionate about creating community and a sense of belonging for our students? 

UNSW is currently focused on the question of community and belonging. How we shape and influence this is part of the University’s future thinking. Some initial research suggests that UNSW Students believe five key elements (shown below) impact (improve or impede) their sense of belonging. 

Does any of your work focus on one or more of these areas? If so we would welcome an EOI from you (linked to these themes) to present during our session as part of an engaged discussion and debate around shaping this framework further.
